Williams Form Engineering is looking to hire individuals to join our Wayne, NE manufacturing team to operate a Tesker bar rolling machine on 2nd shift. As Tesker operator you will learn valuable skills, machine safety and operation, mechanical skills, problem solving, decision making, teamwork, and production schedules. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Operate thread roll machines producing external roll threads in various types and sizes; remove parts at the end of the machine cycle
  • Perform basic thread roll machine set-ups as required to complete the manufacturing
  • Feed parts into automatic thread roll machines by studying the part, blueprints, specifications and/or instructions
  • Adjust machine controls and change tool settings in order to keep dimensions within specific tolerances
  • Inspect sample workpieces to verify conformance with specifications using instruments such as gauges, micrometers, and dial indicator
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to check, test, login, logout, and thread roll good quality parts while coordinating with the floor supervisor
  • Notify supervisor of major malfunctions or when machine maintenance is needed
  • Recognize basic sequence of operations with assistance from supervisor

 Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED, or 1-2 years related experience and/or training
  • Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required
  • Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers
  • Proficient in blueprint interpretation, key process parameters, and SPC data acquisition
  • Ability to effectively communicate information to supervisor and/or other employees
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. unassisted required
  • Able to stand, walk, bend and twist for at least seven hours per day
  • US Citizen or Green Card holder

Working Conditions:

Working Conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment, including mechanical noise and fluctuating temperatures. Work involves frequent lifting of materials and product. Machinery operations require the use of safety equipment to include, but not limited to, eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
