The Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection and Insurance Company (HSB) was founded on June 30, 1866. Our first president considered HSB as “the first company in America devoted primarily to industrial safety.” “Hartford Standards” quickly became the specifications for boiler design, manufacture and maintenance.

 

HSB is a leader in equipment breakdown insurance, specialty coverages, inspection services, and engineering-based risk management for business, home and farm.

 

Purpose:

Handles the basic tasks for the Sensor Support team.  Answer and troubleshoot basic customer questions or requests (including but not limited to: confirming sensor is online, scheduling installation appointments.)  Provide administrative support for the sensor support team, (ie: submitting equip orders, cancel customer acct, contacting customers for delivery instructions, and updating contact info.) Ensure all tasks are handled and completed in a timely manner. 

 

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience
  • 2 years of work experience is preferred
  • Experience in providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers

 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent data entry, telephone & PC skills; MS Office Suite
  • Ability to quickly understand new technology
  • Proficient in Excel with the ability to create, format, calculate and report
  • Good verbal and written communications
  • Proven customer service skills, especially involving troubleshooting issues with customers
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and presentation capabilities
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks and ensure assignments are delivered on time
