Technical Account Manager (TAM)


Position Summary


The Technical Account Manager (TAM) is a trusted business advisor who helps clients leverage technology to improve security, productivity, and long-term business outcomes. As part of E-N Computers' commitment to proactive managed IT services, the TAM develops strategic technology roadmaps, provides ongoing technology consulting, oversees licensing and procurement, and ensures clients receive exceptional service through regular communication and planning. The TAM becomes an extension of each client's leadership team, helping them make informed technology decisions while reducing business risk.

Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary strategic advisor for assigned client accounts.
  • Build trusted relationships with client leadership.
  • Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews and planning meetings.
  • Act as the client's advocate across service, engineering, cybersecurity, sales, and leadership teams.
  • Monitor client satisfaction and proactively address concerns.

Strategic Technology Planning

  • Develop technology roadmaps and budgets.
  • Conduct technology health assessments and lifecycle reviews.
  • Recommend infrastructure, cloud, and cybersecurity improvements.
  • Provide executive-level technology guidance.

Cybersecurity & Compliance

  • Advise on cybersecurity best practices.
  • Support compliance initiatives including CMMC, NIST, HIPAA, and GCC High where applicable.
  • Review environments for alignment with company standards.

Licensing & Procurement

  • Manage software and hardware licensing, renewals, procurement, and vendor relationships.
  • Maintain licensing compliance and optimize subscriptions.

Technical Guidance & Account Oversight

  • Evaluate requests and recommend the proper service path.
  • Develop written scopes of work.
  • Review ticket trends and identify proactive improvements.
  • Support onboarding and documentation.

Business Development

  • Identify lifecycle and managed service opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Sales on recurring revenue opportunities.

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5 years in an MSP or IT services environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, networking, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and cloud technologies.
  • Experience with licensing/procurement.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ConnectWise, HaloPSA, IT Glue, Hudu, or BrightGauge.
  • Experience supporting regulated industries and Microsoft GCC High.
  • Knowledge of ITIL or MSP best practices.
