Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Registered Nurse, Team Lead to join our triage team!  Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day. 

Position Summary:

POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT: 

Provides daily work direction to clinical support staff of a designated medical department. Clinical support staff may include RN’s, LPN’s, CMA’s, MA’s, and Department Assistants (DA’s). The RN Team Lead utilizes a systematic approach to nursing practice incorporating assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation utilizing critical thinking in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, recognized professional standards and Park Nicollet policy. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

Ambulatory RN Triage Team Lead Role Expectations:

· Foster Team Camaraderie: Cultivate a supportive and collaborative environment where team members feel valued and connected. Rotate between pod sites to build work community.

· Monitor and Promote Excellent Team Performance: Ensure team members are performing at their best by monitoring statistics and readiness and providing constructive feedback to improve patient experience.

· Support Clinical Work: Actively participate in triage and clinic work, offering assistance and expertise for RN stats and walk-ins.

· Review and Improve Processes: Regularly review leader pool in-basket work for efficiencies, trends, and areas for improvement, sharing insights with the team.

· Stay Informed: Become an expert in current emails, standing orders, and work processes, and keep the team updated with the latest information.

· Provide Real-Time Training: Offer hands-on training and support to individuals in the clinic, ensuring they feel confident and capable.

· Facilitate Team Meetings: Help set agendas and share information at team meetings, encouraging open communication and collaboration.

· Be a Resource: Be available to answer team questions and provide guidance, fostering a sense of trust and reliability.

· Communicate Effectively: Ensure everyone understands their roles and responsibilities, feels confident, and is supported in their work.

· Manage Timecards: When necessary, sign off on timecards in the absence of a nursing supervisor.

· Assist with Staffing: Help manage daily staffing needs, ensuring coverage for ill calls until 5 PM.

· Model Positive Behavior: Act as a role model, maintaining a solution-focused and positive attitude through changes.

· Train New Members: Provide comprehensive training and onboarding for new triage team members, helping them integrate smoothly into the team

 

Work Schedule:

This team lead position will float between the Wayzata, Carlson-Minnetonka and Plymouth clinics. 

  • 36 hrs weekly / .9 FTE
  • Monday through Friday, hours to be determined

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate from course of study in nursing resulting in an associate degree, diploma, or baccalaureate degree in nursing.
  • Must maintain a current Minnesota registered nurse license.

  • BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior leadership experience preferred.
