Key Responsibilities

Design and develop thermoset elastomer products, including components produced via injection molding, compression molding, and extrusion processes
Partner with external suppliers to develop injection molds, compression molds, and extrusion dies that meet quality and performance specifications
Apply strong 2D and 3D CAD skills to create detailed engineering drawings and models (Pro/ENGINEER preferred)
Manage engineering design for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems in commercial facility applications
Leverage knowledge of machining methods, material selection, pneumatics, hydraulics, electro-mechanical actuation, and robotics to drive design decisions
Ensure all designs comply with ISO 9001 quality standards and applicable customer requirements
Evaluate manufacturability throughout the design process and proactively address design-for-manufacturing challenges
Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through written reports and oral presentations
Champion cross-functional collaboration, engaging teams with diverse priorities to align on solutions
Drive root-cause analysis and problem-solving efforts on complex engineering challenges, conducting comparative evaluation of multiple solutions
Develop comprehensive project plans that support organizational goals, ensuring on-time delivery and resource alignment
Coordinate and manage information flow across multi-functional teams to keep projects on track

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or related engineering discipline required
Strong manufacturing background, with hands-on experience supporting design through production in a manufacturing environment
Minimum of 5 years of directly related experience in elastomeric product engineering or equivalent discipline
Strong proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD; Pro/ENGINEER experience strongly preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project
Supervisory, management, or project management experience a plus
