A Physical Therapy Technician (Tech) assists licensed physical therapists in implementing treatment plans and preparing patients for therapy sessions. They help set up equipment, support patient exercises, and ensure a safe and efficient therapy environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional, courteous support to patients throughout their visit.

• Prepare patients, treatment areas, and equipment for physical therapy sessions.

• Assist licensed physical therapists with implementing established treatment plans.

• Guide patients through assigned exercises under the direction and supervision of a licensed therapist.

• Monitor patients during activities and promptly report concerns or changes to the therapist.

• Maintain patient flow and ensure therapy sessions operate efficiently and on schedule.

• Clean, disinfect, organize, and maintain treatment equipment and clinical areas.

• Perform administrative or clinic support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Strong interest in healthcare, physical therapy, fitness, or patient care.

• Ability to follow instructions and work under the supervision of licensed clinical staff.

• Professional, dependable, and punctual.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

• Comfortable assisting patients with exercises, movement, and basic equipment.

• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and follow safety and infection-control procedures.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, move, or assist with equipment and patients as required.

• CPR or Basic Life Support certification preferred but not required.
