Position Summary

The Project Specialist is responsible for post award entry and review of project information into the D365 Finance and Operations system. The Project Specialist will work closely with  Project Specialists at other sites,  CX team members, Project Management and Operations.

Position Requirements

Education and experience

  • A.S. in Business Administration or related field
  • Equivalent combination of related education and required work experience will be considered

Skills and Abilities

  • Experience with Microsoft tools (i.e. D365, Excel, Word, QuickBooks, PowerPoint)
  • Good communication and writing skills
  • Maintain confidential information
  • Interact professionally with employees and clients
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a group setting
  • Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot when necessary
  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills. Revenue recognition experience preferred
  • Proven ability to work with and maintain confidential information
  • Proven computer skills with Microsoft Office suite and accounting systems
  • Proven strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adhere to regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail.

General

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Ability to read, write and understand oral and/or written instructions

Physical Activity

  • This position requires frequent walking, standing for extended periods of time, sitting for extended periods of time, talking for extended periods of time, carrying items (maximum of 25 pounds), reaching while standing and general repetitive motions
  • Operation of standard office equipment including computer terminal, telephone, calculator, copy, and fax machines requiring continuous repetitive arm, hand, and eye movement
  • Travel may involve extended periods of sitting in a car, airplane, and/or train

Working Conditions

  • Clean, pleasant, comfortable office setting
  • Office and classroom environments include varying temperatures and dust
  • The noise level is usually moderate.
  • Travel conditions may include crowded environments with varying temperatures

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Responsible for project setup in Microsoft D365 Finance and Operations
  • Work with Project Management and Operations to create project cost budget
  • Work with Project Management and Operations to monitor and perform invoice proposal tasks
  • Track client purchase orders and ensure reference where appropriate
  • Administration and review of projects in Microsoft D365 Finance and Operations
  • Support and participate in other company initiatives as directed by senior management
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

 

*This position could be offered at different levels for candidates who qualify with a combination of advanced levels of education and/or years of experience.  The salary range will adjust along with the level of the role to match the person’s relevant experience and/or education level.
