Warehouse Receiving Associate

Job Description

• Receive inbound shipments of inventory via commercial carrier

• Utilize computer/scanners to receive shipments of inventory into our system.

• Check order to ensure we received the correct quantity and that there is nothing wrong with the parts we received

• Make a note of any damaged product that we may receive and let your supervisor know

• Neatly place inventory in its designated location.

• Organize warehouse to make parts easily accessible- using First in- first out Method (FIFO)

• Assist team members in daily housekeeping to prevent unnecessary hazards throughout warehouse

• Contact vendors about orders when needed

• Pick and pack orders as needed

• Other job duties as assigned by your supervisor


Job Requirements

• Ability to Lift heavy merchandise

• Ability to go up and down a ladder throughout the day

• Ability to operate machinery after proper training

• Ability to stand for long periods of time

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to count inventory quickly while maintaining a high level of accuracy

• Ability to read and write in English

• High School diploma or equivalent

• Quick learner

• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to ask questions

• Basic understanding of computers

• High level of alertness and attention to detail to recognize issues with shipments

• Overtime required as needed


 

Job Type: Full-Time


 

Hours

• Monday through Friday 8:00AM to 4:30PM with a 30-minute lunch break


 

Pay

$16.00/hour
