Job Announcement:
The City of Webster's Public Works Department seeks a reliable team player for the position of Custodian- Crewman II. The purpose of this position is to provide cleaning services in City of Webster buildings. Services include, but are not limited to, cleaning and sanitizing kitchens, restrooms, offices, conference rooms, floors, and carpets. Other duties include trash removal, dusting, cleaning windows, cleaning stairwells, and stocking paper goods, soaps, and other supplies daily. General work schedules are 5:00 am to 2:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional schedule variations for events. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, dependable, meticulous, team players.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of six (6) months' commercial custodial experience.
- Valid Texas Class "C" Driver's License
- Must be capable of safely operating cleaning equipment and utilizing cleaning chemicals in a safe, responsible manner.
Special Requirements:
This position requires the ability to communicate effectively with employees and the public. This includes, but is not limited to, the ability to read instructions, write reports, understand verbal directions, and converse effectively with co-workers and supervisors.
This is an Essential Services position, and the employee will be required to provide services in the course and scope of employment for the benefit of the general public during emergency situations that threaten the safety of Webster's citizens.
