Position Overview
We are seeking Nurse Practitioners /Physician Assistants who thrive in high-volume, fast-paced pediatric urgent care and who specifically prefer working evenings, weekends, and holidays. As our clinical operations grow, we are intentionally building a dedicated urgent care team that keeps our clinics fully covered seven days a week, including during peak-demand periods.

What You’ll Do
- Deliver high-quality, age-appropriate urgent care to pediatric patients during evening, weekend, and holiday shifts
- Perform patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment initiation, and independent clinical decision-
- making
- Collaborate with medical directors and site physicians under established clinical protocols
- Execute urgent care procedures including laceration repair, initial fracture management, and reduction of nursemaid’s elbow
- Maintain consistent availability for evening and weekend coverage to prevent clinic closures
- Contribute to a stable, sustainable urgent care operation that supports the broader clinical mission
Schedule Commitment — Urgent Care First
- This role is specifically designed for clinicians who want to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as their primary schedule — not as an occasional add-on. Shift coverage includes:
- Evening shifts (typically 4 PM – close)
- Weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday, including peak-demand days)
- Holiday coverage on a rotating basis
- High-volume urgent care periods throughout the year
- Part-time, and PRN positions are available across Houston, DFW, and Austin locations.
- Must be able to work 48 hrs per month
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner (PNP or FNP) or Physician Assistant, with a focus on pediatric care
- Urgent care or fast-paced clinical experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency in urgent care procedures: laceration repair, initial fracture management, reduction of nursemaid’s elbow
- Active, unencumbered Texas RN or PA license
- Active national certification: PNP-BC, FNP-BC (Texas Board of Nursing recognized) or NCCPA certification
- Current PALS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory guidelines (OSHA, CLIA)
- Genuine preference and enthusiasm for evening, weekend, and holiday urgent care schedules
