Position Overview

Southern Highlands Community Mental Health Center is seeking a qualified and compassionate Coordinator – Crisis Services to provide support and intervention services to individuals experiencing mental health and/or substance use crises.

The Coordinator will assess crisis situations, provide recommendations, coordinate care, and connect consumers with appropriate community resources and treatment services. This position requires strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and the ability to work effectively in high-stress situations.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet one of the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a human services-related field (per West Virginia Board of Social Work requirements); OR
  • Licensed Psychologist (Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited program); OR
  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN).

Preferred Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective during crisis situations.
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and community partners.
