Position Summary
Hinterland Group LLC is seeking an Area Manager to lead trenchless operations across the Southeast Division. This role oversees multiple project teams, drives operational performance, and manages P&L responsibility for trenchless work throughout the region, including pipe bursting, directional drilling, CIPP, and related rehabilitation methods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of trenchless crews and project managers across the SE Division
  • Manage P&L, budgets, and financial performance for the region
  • Drive business development and maintain relationships with municipal and private clients, engineers, and inspectors
  • Ensure projects are staffed, equipped, and executed safely, on schedule, and within budget
  • Set regional goals for production, safety, quality, and profitability
  • Recruit, train, and develop project managers, superintendents, and field staff
  • Review bids, proposals, and contracts for trenchless projects in the region
  • Monitor compliance with safety standards, permits, and local/state regulations
  • Report regional performance and project status to senior leadership
  • Travel regularly throughout Florida, South Carolina, and other SE Division territories
