Duda Farm Fresh Foods, is currently looking for a Cost Accountant to join our Accounting team in our Wellington and Belle Glade, Florida locations. The ideal candidate will support the Eastern region value-added processing plant by managing cost accounting, inventory control, and financial reporting for the Food & Agriculture division. Based primarily out of Wellington location, this role requires travel to regional plant 2-3 days per week during the processing season to support business partners and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain standard costs and product costing data; analyze variances and recommend corrective actions.
Manage inventory costing, accuracy, reconciliations, and controls.
Support month-end close, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and COGS analysis.
Maintain BOMs, routings, and ERP costing data.
Evaluate cost impacts of new products, process improvements, and capital projects.
Partner with operations to improve cost performance and inventory controls.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and GAAP.
Manage daily work order closures, packaging reconciliations, and invoice/PO approvals.
Prepare month-end entries, financial reports, and variance analysis.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost modeling for plant operations.
Monitor budget-to-actual performance and provide financial insights to leadership.
Partner with plant operations to improve costing, inventory controls, and financial performance.
Support audits, capital projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and financial training.
Overnight travel may be required
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related business field.
Experience: 5+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; ERP experience (DAX preferred).
Knowledge & Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills with knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting.
Valid driver’s license.
