MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER
Reports Directly to: Managing Director, National Polo Center
Works Closely With: Director of Guest Services, Polo Management, Sponsorship, Hospitality, USPA Marketing and Communications
Marketing and Communications Manager:
The Marketing and Communications Manager is responsible for coordinating and executing marketing and communications initiatives to support commercial growth, guest engagement, and brand awareness for the National Polo Center (NPC). This position serves as the primary marketing resource for NPC and is responsible for developing content, maintaining digital marketing platforms, coordinating creative vendors, and executing campaigns that support ticket sales, sponsorship value, event rentals, memberships, and community engagement. This is a hands-on role requiring the individual to also create written, graphic, photo, and video content; manage website and social media updates; support email marketing initiatives; and assist with the implementation of future marketing technologies.Â
This position requires collaboration across departments within NPC and the United States Polo Association (USPA). The Marketing and Communications Manager works closely with the Polo Operations Department to promote tournaments and events while collaborating with NPC Hospitality, USPA Marketing and Communications, and external public relations and creative partners to ensure consistent messaging and successful execution of organizational priorities.
This position is a regular, full-time position and requires working on Sundays at NPC from Mid-December through Early May or as directed by management. During the off-season (June through November), the position follows a hybrid schedule to be agreed upon with management.

Performance Expectations
- Timely execution of marketing campaigns and promotional initiatives.
- Accurate and consistent application of USPA brand standards.
- Effective support of the NPC sales team's revenue-generating efforts.
- Growth in audience engagement across digital channels.
- Reliable coordination of vendors, creative assets, and marketing deliverables.
- Professional collaboration with internal departments and external partners.
Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute annual marketing plans aligned with NPC strategic marketing goals.
- Identify new marketing opportunities that increase attendance, sponsorship value, event rentals and commercial partnerships.
Campaign Execution
- Coordinate influencer, media and community outreach supporting NPC events and commercial initiatives.
- Manage paid advertising campaigns across digital and social platforms and monitor return on investment.
- Develop email marketing campaigns supporting ticket sales, membership, hospitality, sponsorships and special events while utilizing performance analytics.
Content & Creative
- Create marketing materials using available design software and coordinate larger creative projects with outside graphic design vendors as needed including signage, brochures, advertisements, digital assets and promotional collateral.
- Create and maintain NPC website contentÂ
- Capture and coordinate game-day marketing content including photography, video, interviews, reels, promotional graphics and behind-the-scenes content to support ticket sales, sponsorship activation and brand awareness.Â
- Coordinate production of Sunday Polo programs including sponsorship advertisements, layouts, printer coordination and roster verification.
Digital & Social Media
- Develop, create, publish and manage content across NPC social media platforms, including photography, short-form video, graphics, captions, paid campaigns and community engagement while maintaining a consistent content calendar.Â
- Drive technical enhancements to the NPC website with the website development vendor to optimize user experience, SEO, ticket sales, event pages, hospitality offerings and commercial content.
- Support sponsor activation through digital assets, social media, website content, on-site marketing materials and reporting.
Market Research & Analytics
- Maintain marketing analytics and prepare regular reports on ticket sales, website traffic, campaign performance, sponsorship activation and marketing ROI.
- Support the implementation of a customer relationship management (CRM) platform by assisting with vendor coordination, customer data organization, audience segmentation, campaign planning and future marketing automation initiatives.
Vendor ManagementÂ
- Coordinate and maintain relationships with creative vendors including website developers, graphic designers, photographers, videographers and advertising partners.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with the Managing Director and NPC sales team to support commercial priorities.
- Partner with Guest Services, Hospitality, Polo Operations, Membership, and Sponsorship teams to execute marketing activities.
- Work closely with the USPA Marketing & Communications team to implement enterprise marketing initiatives at the National Polo Center.
- Coordinate creative development with the USPA Creative Director.
- Support communications initiatives with the USPA Director of Communications including media credential administration, public relations activities, and event communications as appropriate.
Skills / Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field preferred.
- 5 years of progressively responsible marketing experience; hospitality, sports, events or destination marketing preferred.
- Experience maintaining websites, email marketing platforms, social media platforms, and customer databases; CRM experience preferred.Â
- Experience coordinating creative vendors and multiple concurrent projects.
- Strong copywriting and communication skills.
- Knowledge of Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite and digital advertising platforms preferred.
- Highly organized with strong project management and analytical abilities.
- Ability to collaborate across departments while managing competing priorities.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays during the polo season.
