Director of Business Development (Sales) — Territory-Based Role

Position Summary (AKA: Your Mission)

Are you the kind of person who can walk into a room of legal professionals, build instant trust, and leave with a next step on the calendar? Do you love the thrill of growth—expanding accounts, winning new business, and becoming the go-to partner clients rely on?

As our Director of Business Development, you’ll maintain and grow an assigned territory by strengthening existing client relationships and bringing in new business. You’ll sell litigation support services and build long-term partnerships within law firms, corporate legal departments, and insurance organizations.

What You’ll Do (Your “Win the Day” List)

  • Drive sales of U.S. Legal Support litigation support services within an assigned territory
  • Manage and grow an established portfolio of accounts while identifying and closing new business opportunities
  • Build relationships across all levels of law firms, corporate legal departments, and insurance accounts
  • Deliver confident, consultative presentations with strong product knowledge across service offerings
  • Understand pricing structures and proposal models (and know how to position value)
  • Maximize revenue growth through strategic account management and consistent client engagement
  • Train clients on U.S. Legal Support tools and solutions
  • Support marketing initiatives and help generate referrals and new firm relationships
  • Attend required team meetings, including weekly sales calls and training sessions
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of sales activity and pipeline progress
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support client needs and deliver an excellent experience
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and business ethics standards

✅ Required Qualifications (The Must-Haves)

  • Prior legal industry experience required (law firm, litigation support, corporate legal, insurance, or related environment)
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales quotas
  • Ability to move fast, adapt quickly, and ramp up in a high-energy environment
  • Reliable transportation, current insurance, and a clean driving record
  • Ability to travel as needed based on territory and business demands

  • Legal sales experience strongly preferred
