As Stemilt’s Quality Control Lab Supervisor, you are a key leader responsible for maintaining fruit integrity from harvest through packing. This role works closely with QC teams and requires a strong understanding of all Quality Control functions, including lab evaluation, raw fruit inventory management, fruit receiving, and storage logistics. You’ll help guide quality assessments, monitor fruit maturity, and ensure proper handling of apples, cherries, and pears. This position supports three thousand Stemilters and it’s required to deliver extraordinary customer service at all levels. Strong problem-solving skills a must.

Additional Responsibilities

Ā· Contribute to the ongoing assessment of fruit condition and quality year‑round, including troubleshooting physiological, pathological, and logistical challenges.

Ā· Support and assist in directing harvest and post‑harvest fruit movement and storage logistics.

Ā· Provide leadership in supervising and supporting seasonal Quality Control teams.

Ā· Communicate effectively with interdepartmental partners, growers, and their support crews.

Ā· Demonstrate adaptability to the seasonality of agriculture and a willingness to absorb, apply, and innovate new information and practices.

Ā· Serve as an example and advocate of the Stemilt Handbook and Stemilt Safety programs.

Ā· Foster a team culture that ensures extraordinary customer service for all internal and external stakeholders.

Ā· Hold self and team accountable while developing a strong self‑leadership team culture.

Ā· Contribute to the team and the Company in additional capacities as requested or required.

Experience:

Ā· Ag harvest or raw product movement experience.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture or a related field.

Ā· Valid driver’s license.

Ā· Strong understanding of tree fruit, including grades, sizes, and varieties.

Ā· Ability to think critically, solve problems, and make sound decisions, even under pressure.

Ā· Experience training, developing, and supporting employees in their roles.

Ā· Clear verbal and written communication skills.

Ā· Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Ā· Ability to work effectively in cross‑functional teams across the organization.

Ā· Ability to deliver high quality results with an exceptional transparent, consultative, and partnering attitude.

Ā· Ability to interact and connect with all Stemilters.
