Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Assembler with strong mechanical aptitude and electrical experience to join a growing team. This role involves assembling and wiring electrical distribution equipment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

This position begins with training on 1st shift (up to 90 days, may be shorter) before transitioning to a 2nd shift schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform sub-assembly and final assembly wiring with precision and accuracy
  • Assemble electrical components using layouts, schematics, and wire lists
  • Work with low and medium voltage electrical distribution equipment
  • Handle large power cables, including proper stripping and crimping techniques
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and wiring tools (crimpers, wire strippers, etc.)
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Collaborate effectively with team members

Qualifications

Required:

  • At least 1 year of mechanical assembly experience
  • At least 1 year of commercial or industrial wiring experience
  • Ability to read schematics, layouts, and wiring diagrams with minimal supervision
  • Experience using hand and power tools
  • Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills

Preferred:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Technical training or Associate’s degree in a related field
  • Knowledge of electrical clearances

Additional Details

  • Training will take place on 1st shift before moving to 2nd shift
  • Timekeeping system is electronic
  • Headshot required prior to start for badge access
  • Uniforms provided (shirt and pant sizes required)
  • This is a contract-to-hire role, and long-term placement is the goal
