Cochran’s Wentzville, Missouri location, is looking for a Licensed Engineer to join our team.  

Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Licensed Professional Engineer to support a wide range of civil engineering projects. This role is ideal for someone who is already licensed and has experience with civil site development. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning, design, and delivery of civil engineering projects, including site development, roadway improvements, drainage systems, and utility infrastructure
  • Prepare design plans, technical specifications, and cost estimates
  • Perform engineering calculations, site layout, grading, and stormwater modeling
  • Support project managers with schedules, budgets, permitting, and agency coordination
  • Conduct site visits and assist with construction observation and documentation
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes
  • Mentor junior engineers and support staff as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • PE license preferred or on track to obtain within 12 months
  • 7+ years of relevant civil engineering experience
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Preferred Experience:

  • Familiarity with local, state, and federal design standards and permitting requirements
  • Experience working with municipalities, DOTs, or private developers
  • Knowledge of stormwater modeling software or other civil design tools
