Job Description

Greater St. Louis , MO - Plant

As a member of the finance team, the accounting specialist will be responsible for working collectively with the Controller, Assistant Controller and Cost Accountant, and producing timely and accurate financial analysis and reports for a JIT manufacturing environment

The Role:

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  • Process weekly payroll along with all other payroll reporting and follow up responsibilities 路 Daily labor KPI analysis and reporting
  • Month-end Journal Entry preparation and Reconciliation and analysis of assigned General Ledger Accounts
  • Collaborate with HR & Operations teams for Payroll data, as necessary
  • Cross train in other areas of accounting to act as backup (Accounts Payable, etc.)
  • Other administration, projects and duties as assigned
  • Assist with Sarbanes Oxley auditing requirements

Qualifications

Your Qualifications:

  • Four-year degree in accounting or related field
  • At least 1 year of accounting experience preferred
  • Candidate must possess strong attention to detail and follow up skills
  • Demonstrate initiative and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities
  • Adaptable and able to perform in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Ability to set and meet workflow deadlines
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience with Kronos Payroll Software, Coupa, SAP, and AS400 a plus
