We are searching for a Certified Peer Support Specialist! 

Requirements

Applicants must have a valid Wisconsin Drivers License, vehicle and auto insurance, Peer Support Specialist Certification; and one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 


Job Duties Include:

  •  Provides direct and indirect rehabilitative and supportive services to members of the community according to certified peer support and applicable service array guidelines in an effort to assist member in achieving their life vision, goals, and objectives.*
  • Communicates and collaborates effectively with other recovery team members.*
  • Develops goals with Comprehensive Community Services members that are member-driven and measure progress towards the identified goal.*
  • Incorporates peer support ethical standards into own practice.*
  • Maintains confidentiality and privacy of member and family records.*
  • Follows legal, organizational, and contractual requirements, laws, and policies.*
  • Completes and submits all required or assigned documentation by due dates.*
  • Attends all supervision, meetings, trainings, in-services, and events as directed.*
  • Completes at least 8 hours of ongoing training annually.*
  • Initiates contact with the referred Comprehensive Community Services member and builds rapport using a strength-based, trauma informed, recovery oriented, and culturally sensitive approach. *
  • Recognizes potential crisis situations, analyzes situations accurately, and collaborates with the care coordinator and supervisory team as necessary. *
  • Participates in quality improvement projects. *
