- 401(k)
- Life insurance
- Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA)

Your Typical Day

You start at 7:30 am and review the day’s inpatient list and clinic schedule, then align quickly with the nephrologist on priorities. Your morning moves between rounding and clinic visits, with time built in to update families and coordinate with nursing, dialysis staff, and case management. Midday is often spent closing notes, reviewing labs and imaging, and adjusting plans as new results come in. In the afternoon, you follow up on consults, handle urgent questions, and ensure clean handoffs so nothing carries over. You finish by 4:30 pm—no evenings, weekends, or holidays.
