Your seat at the table: Manufacturing Engineering Manager

You will love this seat if you get, want, and have the capacity to:

Lead, Manage, and Drive Accountability (LMA)

• Lead the Manufacturing Engineering team by setting clear expectations, providing coaching and feedback, and fostering professional development.
• Ensure team alignment with company goals, values, and production objectives.
• Manage workload distribution, performance reviews, and succession planning within the engineering function.

Process & Equipment Optimization

• Develop and improve manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action for process-related issues.
• Ensure equipment performance meets production requirements through preventive maintenance planning, upgrades, and technology integration.

Project & Capital Execution

• Manage capital projects, equipment installations, and facility improvements from concept through implementation.
• Partner with Product Engineering and Operations teams to ensure smooth new product introductions (NPI) into manufacturing.
• Maintain timelines, budgets, and performance metrics for all engineering projects.

Safety & Environmental Compliance

• Ensure all processes, equipment, and changes comply with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with the Quality team to resolve manufacturing quality issues and maintain product standards.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous learning across the team.

Resource & Strategic Planning

• Contribute to strategic planning for manufacturing capacity, equipment investment, and technology roadmap.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, and Maintenance to achieve business goals.
• Support the development of standard work, documentation, and training for production teams.

Requirements

We need this seat to have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 7+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Proven success managing projects, leading teams, and implementing process improvements.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and statistical process control (SPC).
• Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in CAD, ERP, and manufacturing data systems.
