Traveling Veterinarian - (Full Time or Part Time) - Michigan

CareVet's Full-Time Traveling DVM role is built for experienced veterinarians who want the financial security of a salaried position and the variety that comes from practicing across multiple high-performing hospitals in Michigan!

You'll earn a competitive salary, travel on CareVet's dime, and practice medicine your way — without being anchored to one location.

Compensation (full time) 

• $200,000–$275,000 annually (based on schedule and structure)
• $275,000 at full-time 40 hrs/week | $135/hr without benefits
• $100/hr with full benefits package
• No production percentage requirement
• No negative accrual — ever

• 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off

• Examine animals to assess their health and diagnose problems
• Treat and dress wounds
• Perform surgery on animals
• Test for and vaccinate against diseases
• Operate medical equipment, such as x-ray machines
• Advise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatments

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required
• Licensure in the state/s candidate will be working
• Ability to show compassion to both pets and their owners
• Outstanding dexterity in handling animals while performing precise tasks
• Ability to react quickly and make decisions under pressure about the wellbeing of an animal
• Strong fondness and understanding of animals
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of animal behavior
• Ability to use medical technologies during diagnosis, research and surgery of animals
