The Position

Superior Environmental Solutions (SES) is looking for a safety-focused Site Supervisor - Day Shift to join our dynamic team.

Shift

Monday - Friday
7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Position Summary

Under minimum supervision, the Site Supervisor will assist with directing operations, dispatch, employee retention and advancement, and sales/marketing for the site or assigned territory. The Site Supervisor’s overall accountability is to ensure customer responsiveness and customer satisfaction by providing high-quality service focused on safety and customer needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Act as a safety and environmental champion by leading by example, participating in health, safety, and environmental activities, and correcting or coaching unsafe conditions and behaviors.
  • Drive change with a focus on safety, with the goal of zero accidents, and continual improvement.
  • Train and mentor Field Service staff to ensure safe and efficient operations; provide input to general management regarding performance evaluations.
  • Support outages and special operations projects as needed.
  • Meet with the Site Manager, Regional Manager, Branch Manager, and/or designated Supervisors to communicate customer requirements, review the daily job schedule, discuss priorities, changes, and equipment availability.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relations by responding to customer needs and coordinating appropriate support through the dedicated crew and/or Branch Manager.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with customers to ensure jobs and tasks are performed as requested.
  • Operate all SES-associated equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Assist with managing the dispatch process, including ensuring appropriate staff, equipment, and resources are available.
  • Set up worksites, equipment, tools, and employees to ensure safety and prevent injury or damage.
  • Direct personnel at job sites and perform necessary work tasks to ensure jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and to the customer’s satisfaction.
  • Ensure employees comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety rules, attendance, substance abuse, theft, damage to company equipment, uniforms, and company rules and regulations.
  • Conduct safety meetings with employees before each job and ensure proper safety procedures are followed.
  • Complete, direct, and review all on-site paperwork for the company and customer to support billing, payroll, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure all daily job tickets are accurately entered into the mobile tablet system and that all labor, equipment, ancillary items, PPE, supplies, subcontractor costs, transportation, waste disposal, and rental equipment are properly documented for billing.
  • Resolve customer complaints and/or service problems effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain regular communication with Department Managers to gather feedback and identify new opportunities, outages, and related needs.
  • Attend monthly contractor safety meetings or other meetings as needed.
  • Attend contractor outage planning meetings.
  • Evaluate employee performance and provide on-the-job training and coaching when necessary.

Education and Experience

Required

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the environmental industry
  • Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 5 years of managerial experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of safety and government compliance experience
  • Sales experience

Job Demands and Work Environment

  • Frequent walking, standing, and sitting for extended periods
  • Occasional lifting and moving of equipment up to 25 lbs., or as required by the role
  • Ability to work in industrial environments, including exposure to loud noise, heavy machinery, and potential environmental hazards
  • Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines, analyze operational challenges, and make high-stakes decisions
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments
  • Travel required, including overnight stays as needed
