Description:


Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist for the 2025-2026 school year. This is an in-person position working with elementary-level students at a school located near West Chicago, IL.

The School Psychologist will be a vital member of the Problem Solving and Evaluation Team, playing a key role in supporting students' academic, emotional, and behavioral development. Responsibilities will also include overseeing Section 504 Plans within the building and collaborating with educators, administrators, and families to promote student success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate actively on the Problem Solving and Evaluation Team

  • Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments

  • Develop and monitor 504 Plans in accordance with federal and state regulations

  • Provide consultation to teachers, parents, and staff regarding academic and behavioral interventions

  • Assist in developing strategies to support student learning and emotional well-being

  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school and district policies

Qualifications:

  • Masters or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology

  • Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement

  • Previous experience working with elementary-aged students preferred

  • Strong knowledge of 504 Plans and the evaluation process

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
