What You'll Do
- Ensure rolls are cut to good quality standards to meet Rolling Mill needs
- Manage daily operations to include cutting Rolling Mill rolls, spray welding roll passes, overseeing lathe maintenance/tooling and inventory
- Managing and tracking inventory, ordering rolls
- Once the correct rolls are installed in mill stands and guides are built and ready for mill stands, set up mill stands for use in the mill
- Operate CNC turning machines, cutting rolls used in the rolling mill process.
- Ensure equipment inspection reports are filled out each shift
- Understand start up, shutdown, and emergency procedures
- Responsible for daily housekeeping duties including but not limited to immediate work area
- Ability to troubleshoot work related problems using job knowledge, experience, and by communicating with othersÂ
- Perform minor/routine maintenance or repairs as needed to equipment without the assistance of maintenance personnel
- Must be able and willing to cross train as required
What You'll Need
- Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, with excellent strong work ethic, attention to detail, and organizational skills
- Ability to work with exposure to extremes in temperature, chemical, dust fumes and mists, uneven surfaces, loud noise, elevated work areas, and confined spaces
- Basic computer skills
- Dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needs
- Must be able to learn quickly and multitask
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work a 10-hour shift schedule, to include weekly rotating shifts (days and nights)
- Some overtime will be required
- Ability to stand for duration of shift; frequent physical activity such as walking, climbing stairs or reaching to work with equipment throughout the entire shift
- Strong communication skills are required. Must read, speak, and understand English language in verbal and written communication
- Attend CMC classes at Midlands Technical College while remaining in good academic standing

- High School Diploma or GED required
