Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility support
- Assist with safe transfers and ambulation as needed
- Provide medication reminders in accordance with care plans
- Prepare meals and assist with proper nutrition and hydration
- Offer companionship, emotional support, and meaningful social engagement
- Accompany clients to appointments or activities when required
- Observe, document, and promptly report any changes in a client’s health, behavior, or condition to the care team
- Maintain a safe, clean, and respectful environment for clients
Qualifications:
- Minimum of one (1) year of hands-on caregiving experience in a home care, assisted living, or similar setting
- Active and valid California Home Care Aide (HCA) certification (required)
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Compassionate, patient, dependable, and respectful toward clients and families
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow individualized care plans, document care accurately, and work collaboratively with a team
- Reliable, professional, and committed to providing high-quality care
