The Opportunity
As a Front Office Clerk, you'll help support patients, providers, and the revenue cycle by maintaining accurate records, assisting with insurance-related processes, resolving claims issues, and ensuring account information is current and complete. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and enjoys working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

What You'll Do
Insurance & Account Management
  • Process claims, follow up on outstanding accounts, and assist with collections. 
  • Interpret EOBs and reconcile patient accounts. 
  • Research, appeal, and resolve denied or unpaid claims. 
  • Verify insurance coverage and communicate with insurance carriers regarding patient accounts. 
  • Enter charges, post payments, and maintain accurate account information.
  • Collect copayments, deductibles, outstanding balances, and other patient payments at the time of service.
Medical Records & Administrative Support
  • Maintain patient information and perform data entry in electronic systems. 
  • Greet patients and perform check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring accurate collection of demographic and insurance information.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments in accordance with office protocols.
  • Copy records and documents as needed. 
  • Answer and route incoming calls. 
  • Send and receive faxes, medical records, and other documents as needed.
  • Assist patients and family members with questions. 
  • Prepare, sort, and distribute mail. 
  • Assist with front desk scheduling and phone coverage. 
  • Perform general front office and administrative duties to support daily clinic operations.
Compliance & Team Support
  • Complete required training and follow established policies and procedures. 
  • Support daily operations and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required. 
  • Minimum six (6) months of related experience and/or training required. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. 
  • Knowledge of medical records practices, ethics, classification, and nomenclature. 
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to interpret and apply medical records policies and procedures.
