Ellsworth Turkey is a leading provider of high-quality, farm raised turkeys for the local and national markets. We are committed to providing our customers with the freshest and healthiest turkeys on the market. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Turkey Farm Manager to join our team.

Job Summary:Â The Turkey Farm Manager will be responsible for the overall management and operation of our turkey farms.
Â
Job duties will be:
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the turkey farm, including feeding, watering, and caring for the turkeys.
- Managing a team of farm employees and ensuring that they are properly trained and performing their duties effectively.
- Developing and implementing farm management plans to ensure optimal turkey health and welfare, ensuring that all procedures are in compliance with industry standards, biosecurity and government regulations.
- Maintaining accurate records of all farm operations, including turkey inventory, feed usage, and employee time and attendance.
- Ensuring that all equipment and facilities are properly maintained and in good working condition.
- Ensuring that all turkeys are cared for in a manner that is safe, humane, and in compliance with industry standards and government regulations.
- Assisting with the development and implementation of new farm projects, including the expansion of the turkey farm and the introduction of new products.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in turkey farming or a related field
- Detail oriented, have well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to work a varied schedule that includes evenings and weekends as needed.
- Basic computer skills.
- Able to read and write English.
- Strong leadership, communication and team management skills.
- Bilingual preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to understand and interpret regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Strong planning, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Experience in operating, maintaining and repairing a variety of agriculture equipment.
- Must have a valid driver license.
