Job DetailsJob Location: WEST DES MOINES, IA 50266Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: AnyJob Title:   Banquet Server - This is a Full Time 40 Hour/Week Position Supervisor:   Assistant Clubhouse Manager  Position Summary:   The Banquet Server is responsible for setting tables, serving, and clearing meals to Club members and guests according to well established rules or etiquette and service guidelines. The Banquet Server will also perform various incidental duties to ensure consistent and efficient service. Servers will be required to do light cleaning. 1.    Must have thorough knowledge of both ala carte and buffet service, style, pricing, menu selections, etc. 2.    Must have thorough knowledge of cocktail service i.e., types of drinks, wine, ingredients, garnishes, prices, proper service, etc. 3.    Responsible for sale tickets, ensures that members sign ticket before leaving. Collecting cash during Cash Bars & totaling tallies during Host Bars. 4.    Ensures compliance with various state statutes and Club policy on alcohol service. 5.    Responsible for various side duties, such as refilling condiments, restocking supplies, maintaining cleanliness, etc. 6.    Assists with daily and end-of-month inventories. 7.    Prepared to assist managers and co-workers in banquets and in other areas of the Club. 8.    Be courteous, obliging, and attentive. Always greet members and guests with eye contact and a SMILE. 9.    Inspect all dishes, glass, linens, and sliver for cleanliness before serving. 10.    Serve ladies first if gentlemen are seated at the same table 11.    Serve food from the left with your left hand and clear from the right with your right hand. 12.    Place and remove beverages from the right with your right hand. 13.    Refill beverages while glass is still on the table. 14.    Never place fingers or thumbs inside of dish or glass. 15.    Clean table well before serving dessert. 16.    Don’t clear until being asked to by the room manager Other duties as assigned.
