Purpose:

The New Business Team Lead provides work direction to a team to assure that all work is completed within time and quality service standards. Monitors the workflow throughout the day and makes vital adjustments to meet established timelines. The Team Lead is identified as a go to resource for peers, considered a subject matter authority!

Accountabilities:

  • Participates in operational aspects of the department to ensure service standards are being met.

  • Serves as a technical resource, working closely with IT to resolve production problems and/or improvement to existing systems.

  • Educate various parties on Athene USA products and services and answer questions on processes, regulations, etc.

  • Documents processes and appropriate information as needed, prioritizing in a highly agile and fluid work environment.

  • Handles advanced work items, compiles file work, and assists or leads special projects by clearly and concisely defining project scope, assigning duties, measuring progress and implementing change.

  • Tracks and documents quality issues to identify operational improvements and future training needs to improve the business and overall enhance the customer experience.

  • Coaching and mentoring team members, providing timely performance feedback and partners with manager to address performance concerns; setting team priorities.

  • Participates in interview process, provides staffing recommendations in support of workforce management, and adjust work schedules relative to resource requirements and workload.

  • Partner with training group on development of training plans.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • College degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Military experience will be considered in lieu of formal degree.

  • 4+ years of related experience or equivalent required.

  • Experience with life, annuities and/or financial services products required.

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and work in a time intensive work environment.

  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite and annuity computer systems strongly preferred.

  • Communicates effectively via verbal and written methods, while explaining sophisticated concepts and processes to a diverse customer base.

  • Proven leadership skills and ability to influence others.
