As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide in-home evaluations, treatments, and education to help patients improve their ability to safely and independently perform daily activities. You will work closely with nurses, physical therapists, speech therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care. Full-Time and Part-Time Positions Available Benefits of Joining Iowa Home Care Flexible scheduling to support work-life balance Health, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance Short-term and Long-Term Disability plans Flex-Spending Paid Mileage or Company Sponsored Vehicle Employee Assistance Program Excellent 401K with Employer Match PTO and Paid Holidays Wellness Program Continuing Education opportunities Supportive clinical team environment with strong leadership and dedicated case management Autonomy, professional respect, and opportunities for growth within a trusted, locally owned agency The opportunity to make a real difference by helping Iowans remain safely in the place they love — their home Duties to Include: Conduct comprehensive in-home occupational therapy evaluations Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on improving activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs) Provide therapeutic interventions to improve upper extremity strength, coordination, cognitive skills, and functional independence Train patients in adaptive techniques to enhance safety and independence with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and meal preparation Recommend and educate on adaptive equipment and home modifications to improve safety and accessibility Educate patients and caregivers on home programs, energy conservation techniques, fall prevention strategies, and equipment use Collaborate with nurses, physical therapists, speech therapists, social workers, and case managers to coordinate care Document all patient visits, progress notes, and care plans in compliance with agency and regulatory standards Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed Communicate changes in condition or concerns to the interdisciplinary care team Promote independence and ongoing improvement through compassionate, patient-centered care Our Values at Iowa Home Care Professional – We set high standards for quality and professionalism in everything we do. Minimum of two years of experience in occupational therapy; community/home health experience preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
