Job Title: Salesforce Administrator

Department:Operationsand Technology

General Function

The Salesforce Administrator will lead the ongoing development of our Salesforce deployment. The successful candidate will have a record of improving processes and adoption using Salesforce orsimilar CRM platforms. The administrator will work closely with functional leaders, organizational units, and subject matter experts to identify, develop, and deploy new business processes including marketing, customer data management, and executive reports. This role is part technical Salesforce analyst, part administrator and part marketing. The Salesforce Administrator will be responsible for executing the day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance coordination and improvement of our CRM platform.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as primary system administrator for the Salesforce environment with 120+ users.

  • Handle all basic administrative functions including data inputs, reports and dashboards, workflows and other routine tasks.

  • Manage Salesforce data feeds and other integrations.

  • Coordinate the evaluation, scope and completion of upgrades and new development requests.

  • Work with our management team to establish suitable processes to support administrative, development, and change management activities.

  • Assist in training new users and growing the Salesforce skill set across the organization.

  • Participate in departmental team meetings across the organization to obtain feedback on Salesforce processes, assist teams with engaging in Salesforce features, and updating or creating reports to benefit the teams in growing their business or improving their processes.

  • Effectively act as the liaison between our users, vendors and the application support and development teams.

  • Work independently with members of the user community to define and document development requirements.

  • Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on Salesforce.com and all upstream and downstream applications, systems and processes.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Technology or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum two years of experience as a CRM administrator or similar experience.

  • Proven ability to design and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption.

  • Strong understanding of the platform, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity.

  • Strong understanding of CRM best practices and functionality, preferably Salesforce. 

  • Strong data management abilities.

  • A demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex requirements.

Physical Requirements:

  • This position is classified sedentary/light and requires the ability to sit for long periods of time.

  • Visual requirements includethe ability to see detail at near range with or without correction.

  • Must be able to perform the following physical activities: sitting for long periods, talking (in person and by telephone), hearing and repetitive motions.

Working Conditions:

  • The duties of this position are normally performed in a general office setting. This is a fast-paced work environment.

  • There is frequent pressure to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects in a day.

  • Travel up to 20% may be required.

Equipment Used to Perform Job:

Computer (PC with Microsoft Office programs), telephone, calculator, telephone, copier, fax, and printer.
