Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Field Patrol in West Des Moines, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed officer at a financial institution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter incidents, and support a professional atmosphere through strong communication and customer service. In this role, you will contribute to a caring, team-focused culture built on agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity while handling important security-related responsibilities.

Pay Rate: $23.90 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service at a financial institution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, offices, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns according to post orders.
• Maintain assigned armed post responsibilities in accordance with Allied Universal standards and site guidelines, using sound judgment during routine duties and/or escalated situations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
