Job Summary:
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides compassionate, hands-on support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them live safe, meaningful, and independent lives.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist individuals with evening routines, including hygiene, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation in their homes.
  • Promote independence, dignity, and choice in all activities.
  • Maintain accurate documentation.
  • Support skill development, communication, and positive social interactions.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and supportive environment.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow established procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with Supervisors, Program Coordinators, families, and team members.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Must be an eligible driver for RRHSF
  • Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and complete ongoing training requirements.
  • Strong communication skills, patience, and a compassionate, respectful attitude.

  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
  • Effective communication skills. 
  • Ability to follow care plans and agency policies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.


Starting wage of $18.50!
