Job Description:

This position provides therapy services to adult patients, including evaluation and assessment, treatment, education, and consultation to improve patients’ abilities to their highest possible level. This position provides services as part of a care team assembled to assure optimal clinical and financial outcomes, under the direction of Essentia Health management and the referring physician.

Education Qualifications:

  • OT Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree,Ā Master's Degree, or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy from accredited programĀ 
  • PT Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree,Ā Master's Degree, or Doctorate Degrees from a physical therapy accredited programĀ

PT/OT Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide therapy evaluation, develop individualized treatment plans, implement evidence-based interventions, provide patient/caregiver education, and discharge planning for a full patient caseload.Ā 
  • Provide all ancillary/administrative requirements for a full caseload of patients, including documentation, billing, scheduling management, and other administrative dutiesĀ 
  • DemonstrateĀ appropriate communication,Ā professionalismĀ and supervision of support staff (licensed assistants,Ā aides, volunteers)Ā Ā 
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to ensureĀ optimalĀ clinical and financial outcomes.Ā 
  • Work closely with Essentia HealthĀ leadershipĀ and coordinate with referring physicians to ensure cohesive patient care.Ā 
  • ComplyĀ withĀ organizational policies and procedures andĀ theĀ code of conductĀ 
  • Meet professional organization core values, code of ethics, &/or scope of practiceĀ 
  • Work where the patientĀ needĀ is highest (including flexing to other departments) when home department schedule allowsĀ 
  • May serve as a clinical instructor,Ā participateĀ inĀ departmentĀ or therapy discipline committees, and complete credential/certification that wouldĀ benefitĀ patient careĀ

Outpatient Pelvic Floor:Ā 

Completion of Herman & Wallace Level I certification, or an alternative advanced training approved by Essentia HealthĀ leadershipĀ (may work with leadership on a training plan if you are not currently trained).Ā 

Schedule would be weekdays between 7:00am - 7:00pm. No weekend or holiday rotation is required for this role.

Licensure/CertificationĀ Qualifications:

  • OT License Requirements: Current state licensure as Occupational Therapist
  • PT License Requirements: CurrentĀ physical therapyĀ license in the state performing servicesĀ
