Position Title: Human Resources Coordinator

Location/Subsidiary: Enlow Fork Mine/ Consol Pennsylvania Coal Company

Position Summary

This position provides Human Resources support for an employee-oriented company whose core values are safety, compliance and continuous improvement. This position reports to the Manager, Human Resources at a Core Natural Resources operational site, supporting all HR activities and related projects. The coordinator assists with the administration of human resources policies, procedures and programs. This includes carrying out responsibilities in the areas of employment, salary administration, benefit administration, employee relations, employee development, and employee health and wellness.



Target Responsibilities

  • Ensure the company’s safety culture is embedded in all work performed
  • Compliance with regulatory agencies and support Sarbanes-Oxley controls and procedures
  • Assist with recruiting, organizational planning and staffing logistics
  • Maintain and ensure accuracy in Dayforce for all employee information
  • Effectively interpret and apply policies, rules and laws and provide advice and guidance to employees and operations management and ensure compliance is maintained
  • Assist with Compensation and Benefit Administration and Performance Management Systems
  • Work to resolve employee issues and problem solve
  • Assist with employee orientation, training and development
  • Work directly in employee safety, welfare, and wellness programs including Core’s Drug and Alcohol Program
  • Work on special projects as required
  • Assists with outside recruiting events and presentations to internal and external audiences


Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business, Communications or related field, and a minimum of 2 years of demonstrated knowledge of basic HR functions, including payroll, employee records, and benefit administration preferred
  • In lieu of degree, Human Resources Professional Designation and five + years of relevant experience
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of personnel, including management and hourly employees
  • Able to show initiative, be proactive and to learn and adapt to new systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Dayforce HCM Skills preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
