Description

Markon’s partner company is seeking a Senior Software Integration Engineer to support the integration, deployment, and sustainment of complex software systems for an IC customer.  

Responsibilities

  • Integrate, configure, and deploy software components across multiple environments (development, test, staging, and production)
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis across application, OS, container, and network layers
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and utilities using Bash and Python to support integration, deployment, and sustainment activities
  • Support containerized application deployments using Kubernetes, including cluster operations, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure repeatable and consistent environment builds
  • Utilize Git for version control and configuration management across software baselines and release workflows
  • Support system verification activities including integration testing, regression testing, and deployment validation
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, integration runbooks, and installation/troubleshooting procedures
  • Collaborate with software development, systems engineering, cybersecurity, and operations teams to ensure system readiness and compliance

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI w/ Full Scope Polygraph
  • 15+ years of experience supporting software integration, deployment, or systems engineering efforts
  • Demonstrated expertise using Linux CLI tools for system administration and diagnostics
  • Proficiency developing automation using Bash and Python
  • Strong troubleshooting skills supporting distributed systems and container-based architectures
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in operational or lab environments
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and practices (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Helm, etc.)
  • Strong experience with Git and version-controlled workflows
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced mission environment with minimal oversight

Salary Range

USD $160,000.00 - USD $210,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
