Description

As an Electrical Superintendent at Gardner Energy, you will play a critical leadership role overseeing multiple commercial electrical projects simultaneously. You will be responsible for coordinating field operations across several job sites, supporting Foremen, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. This role works closely with the Commercial Construction Division and Operations Manager to drive execution, maintain quality standards, and optimize workforce productivity across all active projects. 

The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in commercial electrical systems, proven experience managing multiple crews and projects, and a commitment to operational excellence, safety, and customer satisfaction. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage multiple concurrent electrical construction projects, with primary responsibility for utility interconnection and AC work on commercial solar installations, BESS, and EV charger installation projects.  
  • Provide leadership and direction to Foremen and field crews, ensuring alignment with project goals, schedules, and company standards. 
  • Coordinate manpower, materials, and equipment across projects to maximize efficiency and productivity. 
  • Monitor project schedules and budgets, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions as needed. 
  • Ensure quality assurance and quality control standards are consistently met across all job sites. 
  • Conduct regular site visits and audits to reinforce safety compliance, workmanship quality, and operational consistency. 
  • Support and mentor Foremen and crew members, developing leadership capability within the field team. 
  • Collaborate with project managers and operations leadership to ensure effective communication and execution of project plans. 
  • Oversee documentation including job tracking, labor reporting, and progress updates to ensure accurate and timely reporting. 
  • Maintain strong client relationships through periodic site interaction and participation in key project walk-throughs. 
  • Ensure all projects adhere to plan sets, specifications, and applicable codes and regulations. 
  • Troubleshoot complex project and operational issues, providing strategic solutions across multiple sites. 
  • Enforce consistent job site organization, cleanliness, and professionalism across all crews. 
  • Uphold strict safety practices with a goal of achieving zero incidents company-wide. 
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support operational success. 

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience as a Journeyman Electrician, with a strong background in commercial electrical systems. 
  • Proven experience managing multiple crews and/or projects simultaneously (Foreman or equivalent leadership role required). 
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills in fast-paced environments. 
  • Ability to effectively manage resources, schedules, and personnel across multiple job sites. 
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients, leadership, and field teams. 
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with project management software and blue beam is a plus. 
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate and mitigate project risks
