Job Summary: Under the direction of the Shop Supervisor, the Sweeper Operator is responsible for cleaning the pavement prior, during and after paving to ensure proper quality and housekeeping.
Duties and Responsibilities:
⢠Visualize, fulfill, and implement the Clyde Companies Inc. (CCI) vision and core values within the Organization.
⢠Responsible for operation and repair practices on sweepers.
⢠Clean pavement prior to, during, and after paving to keep up with proper quality and housekeeping.
⢠Perform welding, cutting, and fabrication as needed.
⢠Maintain and submit sweeping logs to necessary divisions/ agencies.
⢠Maintain tools as required to do the job.
⢠Maintain commercial driver's license (CDL) and Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Card.
ā¢Maintain HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements and Federal Clearance.
⢠Operate forklift.
⢠Ensure a safe and healthful work environment at all times.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Individual Development (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
⢠Ability to follow instructions
⢠Knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, electronics, and familiar with associated components
⢠Knowledge of welding, cutting and fabrication
Training and Development:
⢠Develop knowledge of heavy equipment safety
