Clinical Educator - Cardiology

Clinical Nurse Educators (CNE) combine clinical expertise and a passion for teaching in the clinical and classroom setting. CNEs design, implement, evaluate and revise in-services, continuing education, and orientation programs as they pertain to the nursing department. CNEs serve as role models and mentors to clinical staff, providing leadership and support.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current NY State license as a Registered Nurse required. BSN required. 
• Masters in Nursing or enrolled in Master's program required. 
• Certification in area of expertise
• Must have knowledge of hospital policy and procedures
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills  
• Knowledge of adult learning principles required.
• Current BLS and ACLS required.
• Knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point required
• Must be flexible and able to work in a fast paced team environment
• Requires sound critical thinking skills
• Must be flexible with time assignment and accommodate the needs of the department.
