Position Overview:

Excellent opportunity to join growing neonatology division at Good Samaritan University Hospital. As a Neonatologist, you will play a crucial role in the care and management of high-risk newborns in our Level three (III) + Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) with capabilities to provide high frequency ventilation, nitric oxide and total body cooling. Excellent support of pediatric surgery and pediatric neurosurgery as well as all other pediatric subspecialties. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive medical care, support families, and contribute to the ongoing education of residents and medical students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality medical care to newborns with complex medical conditions.
  • Collaborate with a team of neonatologists, nurses, and specialists to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct consultations for high-risk deliveries and manage infants requiring intensive care.
  • Participate in neonatal resuscitation and stabilization of critically ill infants.
  • Educate and support families regarding their newborn’s condition and care plan.
  • Engage in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives to advance neonatal care.
  • Participate in teaching activities for residents and medical students.

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO degree with completion of an accredited Neonatology fellowship.
  • Board Certified or board-eligible in Neonatology.
  • Active New York state medical license.
  • Strong clinical skills and a commitment to high-quality patient care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
