Lucky's Iron Door Roadhouse | Jordan Landing, West Jordan, Utah
You Don't Need Restaurant Experience. You Need the Right Attitude.
Some of the best people in hospitality started exactly where you are.
No restaurant experience. No long résumé. Just a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the determination to do a great job.
Lucky's Iron Door Roadhouse is looking for smart, driven, responsible people to join our team as Food Runners.
As a Food Runner, you're an important connection between our kitchen, service team, and guests. You'll learn how a busy restaurant operates, work alongside experienced hospitality professionals, and play a direct role in making sure every guest receives the experience they came for.
No previous restaurant experience is required. We'll train the right person.
This position starts at $13.00 per hour.
Full-time and part-time positions are available.
About Lucky's Iron Door Roadhouse
Lucky's Iron Door Roadhouse opened in Jordan Landing in 2019 as the second home of the award-winning burgers that began with Lucky 13 in Salt Lake City.
We serve brunch, lunch, dinner, handcrafted cocktails, beer, coffee, and the burgers our guests have come to know us for.
We're proud of our food, but great food is only great if it reaches the guest hot, fresh, correct, and presented the way it was intended.
That's where our Food Runners come in.
A great Food Runner doesn't simply carry plates.
They protect the work of the kitchen, support the service team, and make sure the guest receives the quality and hospitality we promised them.
A Day in the Life of a Food Runner
Things can move quickly at Lucky's Iron Door Roadhouse.
When food hits the window, you're ready.
You make sure the order is correct, know where it's going, and get it to the guest while it's hot and fresh.
You don't simply drop the plates and disappear.
You make eye contact.
You communicate.
You notice when someone needs something.
If a guest asks for something you can't provide yourself, you make sure the right person knows about it.
When guests leave, you help clear and reset their table quickly so the next guests aren't kept waiting.
You help keep service areas clean and organized.
And when the restaurant gets busy, you don't wait around wondering what to do next.
You look around and find where you're needed.
The best Food Runners understand that they're part of something bigger than their individual position.
When you do your job well, the kitchen works better, the servers work better, and most importantly, our guests have a better experience.
Who You Are
You're someone who works hard even when nobody is watching.
You notice things.
You're willing to move quickly and stay focused.
You don't believe helping a teammate is "someone else's job."
You can take direction and coaching without taking it personally.
You ask questions when you don't understand something.
If you make a mistake, you own it, learn from it, and get better.
You show up when you're scheduled.
You take pride in doing small things well.
And when things get busy, you're willing to dig in and help the team get through it.
What You'll Do

- Learn our menu so you can confidently identify dishes and their ingredients.
- Verify that food is going to the correct table and guest.

- Maintain clean and organized service areas.
- Assist servers, hosts, kitchen staff, and other teammates when needed.
- Communicate clearly with the kitchen and front-of-house team.

Community
We're part of something bigger than any one position. Support your teammates, take care of our guests, and contribute to the community we're proud to serve.
If these standards describe the way you work, you'll fit right in.
