As a Electromechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for working directly in the plating room, handling chemical cleaning, preparation, and plating steps as part of our heater build process.. This role requires troubleshooting, ensuring product quality, maintain a safe work environment, and collaborate closely with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Prepare and perform chemical plating, cleaning, and surface-preparation steps for heater modules and sub-assemblies according to documented procedures and safety guidelines.

  • Dispense, apply, and monitor chemicals (e.g., plating solutions, solvents, passivation agents) safely and accurately.

  • Assemble heater systems, upgrade kits, heater modules, and sub-assemblies following plating and assembly protocols.

  • Set up and operate plating equipment, test stands, and chemical-compatible fixtures.

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, Bills of Materials, and SOPs.

  • Troubleshoot, rework, and resolve issues in plating or assembly steps (e.g., surface defects, contamination, sealing issues).

  • Mentor and train team members on plating procedures, chemical safety, and proper assembly practices.

  • Ensure the plating room and assembly area are maintained in a clean, organized, and safe condition in accordance with 5S and regulatory standards.

  • Package and prepare finished heater systems for shipment once plating and assembly steps are complete.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Associates degree or technical training in Electronics, Chemistry, Surface Technology, or equivalent is a plus.

  • Minimum 3 years of production/manufacturing experience; prior experience in a plating or chemical handling environment strongly preferred.

  • Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed instructions.

  • Experience using hand tools and measurement devices (crimpers, cutters, calipers, micrometers).

  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to quality.

  • Comfortable working hands-on in a chemical handling environment; adherence to PPE and safety protocols required.

  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work safely in a plating room.

Physical Activities:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently, write by hand, basic computer skills, and operate simple hand tools used to crimp, cut, strip and measure.
