POSITION SUMMARY:
Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment under time pressures. The Terminal Supervisor must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Requires experience using computerized ticketing software. This position provides administrative support for leaders and the department. In addition to typing, filing and scheduling, performing duties The Terminal Supervisor must think about solving issues quickly and make intelligent decisions. Must be able to travel when assigned to various training courses. This position reports to the Terminal Manager.
JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists with direct day-to-day managerial direction and control of the designated facility to ensure the proficient operation of all terminal activities
- Responsible for cash management and compliance
- Operates a cash register and/or credit card equipment
- Assists with marketing and promotional projects for ticketed events/promotions
- Sells and processes ticket orders via telephone, internet, and over the counter.
- Responsible for the closing of the Terminal including preparation of cash bank deposits.
- Assists with communicating information and instruction to terminal personnel (e.g., routes, schedules, price changes in law, company policies, regulations, etc.) for the purpose of advising terminal personnel on a variety of situations that may impact scheduled transportation services.
- Must help coordinate employees' schedules, situation, team meetings with all terminal staff
- Provides exceptional customer service to clients and handles customer complaints
- Must maintain safety standards within the terminal as a high priority (security, fire extinguishers are in working condition, exit signs are lit, etc.)
- Assist with training to ensure all employees have accurate and the most current training associated with the employee's position.
- Assist with employee timecards for payroll processing
- Assist Manager with disciplinary reports and action
- Assist with quarterly terminal inspection reports
- Complies with a variety of data for the purpose of developing formal reports, conveying information and complying with mandated company policy.
- Inform Safety personnel of practices and incidents (e.g., rules, regulations, laws, procedures, etc.) for the purpose of providing information for follow-up action and/or proper procedures.
- Participates in a variety of activities (e.g., meetings, training, etc.) for the purpose of receiving and/or conveying information required to perform job functions.
- Supervises personnel and reports any deficiencies
- Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE:
- 2- 4 years of job-related experience
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Four-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
