Job Summary:Ā We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Operator to join our team. The Operator will be responsible for operating machinery and equipment used in the production of precast concrete components. The primary role involves ensuring that precast concrete products are manufactured to specifications, quality standards, and within deadlines.Ā  Secondary responsibilities include assisting at other company locations as needed.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain machinery used in the production of precast concrete products, including mixers, mold systems, cranes, and other equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure the correct production of precast components.
  • Prepare and set up molds and forms according to project requirements.
  • Pour, smooth, and finish concrete according to specifications, ensuring high-quality output.
  • Monitor production processes and adjust machine settings to ensure consistent quality.
  • Inspect products for quality assurance, ensuring all safety, quality, regulatory standards are met.
  • Perform regular maintenance/cleaning of equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe and organized work environment at all times.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions, defects, or production delays to supervisors immediately.
  • Collaborate with other team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of precast components when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of production runs, quantities, and materials used.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in precast concrete production or a related manufacturing field is preferred.
  • Ability to operate heavy machinery and power tools safely.
  • Familiarity with reading technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Knowledge of concrete materials, their properties, and finishing techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality control.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and handle heavy lifting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Basic math skills and the ability to follow measurement instructions.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
