Job Summary:Ā 

The Concrete Production & Quality Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the consistent production of high-quality precast concrete products through ownership of the concrete batch plant, quality inspections, plant equipment inspections, preventative maintenance, and process compliance. This position serves as a technical resource for operations and provides independent reporting of quality and process observations to Operations and Quality leadership.



Primary Responsibilities:

  • Operate and oversee the concrete batch plant.
  • Maintain accurate mix designs and batching records.
  • Monitor mixing, admixture dosing, and batch consistency.
  • Perform Air, Slump/Spread, Density, and Temperature testing
  • Troubleshoot batching and production issues.
  • Perform pre-pour, post-pour, and final quality inspections.
  • Conduct concrete cylinder testing and maintain quality documentation.
  • Report quality concerns directly to the Operations ManagerĀ 
  • Recommend corrective actions when quality issues are identified.
  • Conduct routine inspections of plant equipment.
  • Coordinate and perform preventative maintenance.
  • Identify maintenance needs before failures occur.
  • Assist with troubleshooting/repairing production equipment.
  • Production Support (working with the production team)
  • Read and interpret production drawings and specifications.
  • Assist with process improvements.



Qualifications:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and production prints.
  • Computer proficiency (Google Suite, spreadsheets, etc).
  • Ability to document inspections accurately.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Self-motivation with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Professionalism when working with production employees, management, vendors, and customers.
  • Ability to identify problems and recommend solutions.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.



Work Environment:Ā Ā 

  • Work is performed in an industrial environment
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 lbs regularly.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and crawl for extended periods of time.
  • Regular exposure to varying weather conditions, mud, uneven terrain, confined spaces, andĀ  physically demanding environments.Ā
