Job Title:  Production Supervisor - Shift 12:30 PM– 9:00 PM Mon – Fri   

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt 

Pay:  $22.00 - $25.00

ColorCoat, Inc., headquartered in West Sacramento, CA,  is the largest paint and coatings applicator in the US, serving window and door manufacturers with multiple facilities across the country. We are currently seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead the production floor in our Milton, PA,  location. 

Summary: 

Acts as the expert in the production area and manages the resources effectively to meet production goals.  Acts as the liaison for employees, Plant Manager, and Op’s managers.

Requirements: 

Must have 2 years minimum leadership experience. Must be able to work long hours and overtime and some weekends as needed. Must understand Microsoft Office – Outlook – Excel. Bilingual is required.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

In addition to the knowledge, skills, abilities, and essential functions of the assigned production area, Supervisor duties also include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Manages first-shift personnel to ensure production targets are met as defined by the Plant Manager
  • Oversees overall production areas and ensures employees are following proper procedures in a safe and productive fashion
  • Motivate,  train, and coach employees to encourage optimum performance and engagement
  • Ability to be respectful, approachable and team-oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment
  • Ability to control and defuse conflicts on the shop floor
  • Ability to work in varying production environments (heat and cold)
  • Ensures employees are following all safety procedures and using required personal protective equipment and informs the manager of any issues.
  • Report any safety issues immediately to manager
  • Communicate performance concerns to manager
  • Helps resolve problems in the production area.
  • Assists with implementing process and/or technique changes as needed. 
  • Must exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills to all levels in the organization
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
  • Responsible for planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and assisting in providing appropriate resolutions
  • Conducts weekly inventory of COGs and ensure proper inventory levels are maintained 
  • Oversee weekly safety audits. 
  • Assist with daily production reporting
  • Assist with daily manager calls in the absence of the Plant Manager
  • Assist with job performance evaluations.
  • Maintains privacy of information on the remote desktop
