Job Description:

Job Summary

MPS is seeking an experienced leader to join our Global Finance team. This is a critical and high-profile position that will play a critical role cross-functionally with IT, Operations, Purchasing, Legal and Global Finance team to oversee the daily accounting operations with a focus on accounts payable, general accounting, contract review, cash management, reconciliations, reporting and a variety of projects including systems, policy and business processes.  The Accounting Manager reports to the Corporate Assistant Controller and will be working from our West Palm Beach, Florida office.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise the day-to-day tasks of the full AP team in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

  • Continuously analyze and refine AP workflows to identify areas for process improvement, implement best practices, and ensure timely and compliant invoice and payment processing, while leveraging technology to drive operational efficiency and maintaining strong internal controls and proper segregation of duties.

  • Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain smooth workflows.

  • Plan for, review and complete timely deliverables related to the monthly close process ensuring accuracy  and compliance to SOX controls.

  • Utilize Procure-to-Pay (P2P) tools to revamp and automate the accounts payable process, enhancing data accuracy and reducing processing time for a high volume of invoices.

  • Manage month and quarter end close accounting functions and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies and procedures and assist with tracking of global accounting issues

  • Prepare, submit, and provide detailed explanations for all audit materials, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.

  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of 1099 reports in compliance with federal and state regulations.

  • Perform ad hoc projects, including business continuity, as assigned and lead and assist on projects with various accounting team members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

  • 9+ years related experience with proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and guide a team. Plus 4+ years of people leadership experience.

  • CPA preferred

  • Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills.

  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel.

  • Proven ability to work independently and meet strict reporting deadlines.

Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job-related reasons. The base salary range for this position in Florida is $90,000 - $140,000.
