Job DetailsJob Location: West Palm Beach Office - West Palm Beach, FL 33411Position Type: Full TimeJob Category: ConstructionJob Title: Assistant Project Manager Job Location: West Palm Beach Office – The Pine Schools project Job Type: Full-Time Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, On-Site  The Role We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Assistant Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex construction projects. This role involves managing all phases of construction, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Follow a standard process, as defined by the Project Management Institute (PMI). Assist in the initiation of the project by understanding the project, assisting in preparing budgets and schedules. Assist in the preparation of  the project by setting goals and objectives, define roles, and produce schedules and timelines for tasks, in accordance with the needs of your client. Assist in ensuring the appropriate QA/QC is performed on technical deliverables prior to issuance, and confirm deliverables meet client standards and applicable regulatory requirements. Assist the project by coordinating the project team to keep them on track, monitor the project on budget and schedule, prepare monthly update reports including budget vs. actual tracking, forecasting to completion, and variance narratives to support timely corrective action. Identify and manage risks to ensure delivery is on time. Communicating with clients, third party, and regulatory agents regarding project status, schedules, and compliance issues. Adhering to client and corporate contract specifications in all activities including health, safety, security, and environment. Report regularly to management and the client. Daily Oversight: Manages day-to-day Owner’s Representative activities during the construction phase. Serves as the primary point of contact for the design and construction teams. Issue Resolution: Handles real-time coordination, submittal, and RFI (Request for Information) reviews, and ensures timely responses. Progress Tracking: Monitors construction progress to ensure alignment with schedule, budget, and quality expectation. Creating and uploading required project documents into the CES server and within the project management information system (Procore) being supplied by the construction manager (CORE Construction). These documents include, but not limited to daily reports, monthly reports, meeting minutes, invoices, RFIs, Submittals, project communications, plans and specifications, inspection reports, testing reports and project photographs. Stakeholder Communication: Maintains continuous communication with the school and escalates major decisions to the Senior Project Manager. Safety & Compliance: Reviews that construction activities comply with the CMAR’s Health & Safety Plan, The Pine School safety protocols and regulatory requirements. Supports permitting and regulatory compliance efforts. Leads Owner-Architect-Contractor (OAC) coordination meetings. Reviews of contractor submittals, RFIs, change orders, and pay applications. Invoice Review: Reviews of contractor invoices and pay applications to ensure accuracy and alignment with work completed (% complete) QualificationsMinimum Education, Required Skills, and Experience: Minimum of 3 years as an assistant superintendent or assistant project engineer. distribution/collection/resource management; South Florida experience preferred Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders. Excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
